IF you want to see inside of the mod garage in ls, get the FELTZER then go to the mod garage, wait for the door to open, and get just the hood in the garage. Then press start, and watch your replay (you should see the garage door closed, but your car should be through the door; in your replay). The when it's done, qwickly drive foward into the garage, and you should see inside of it. You can change your view to see it better. (this might only work sometimes).

Do "it" with a hoocker enywhere!
First you got to get a hoocker at night, and when they are in your car, go to a public place (if you want to) then when they say "we need to find a place more sucluded", don't move, just wait, and then after a wile, they should start it up. And this can be enywhere.

Have fun, hope they work for you too! XD

If you want to do this glitch you will need to aquire the jetpack cheat and the vortex cheat. First off go into deep water then do the jetpack cheat. Note that you will not have it in the water. Then do the vortex cheat and go in it. When you go into the vortex you will have the jetpack on you. Unfortunately you can't fly but you can still see the blue flames when you hold down the A button.

If you haven't recieved your pilot's license yet, their is a way around it. Go to either the airport in Las Venturas or Los Santos International Airport. Either put in the jetpack cheat or the CJ jumps higher cheat. Go over the fence and get into an airplane. After you fly around for a loooooooooong time, a message will come up saying Pilot's Level Reached. This will not give you a pilot's license, but you will be able to enter all the airports and use the planes, except for San Fiero Airport.

P.S. If you want to do it the easy way, skip step 1 and 2 and spawn a hydra and fly around for a while.
P.P.S The Shamal (private jet) works best. Don't ask me why, it just does

I'm not sure if this 2nd story mode is real but it work for me.

The 1st step is to beat the game even mini missons

The 2nd step is to master your driving skills

The 3rd step is to master all weapons (this will take a some time because the cheat will not work and you will have to beat the game with no codes to inprove your stats)

The 4th step is to buy all safe houses

The last step is to buy black cloths

After you do all of these some asian guy will call you and tell you that wosi is dead
And the next day in the game a nother asian guy will call you and say that you killed him to take his casino they will chase you down to the nearest safe house
Once your there change into the black cloths if your not already in them then they will burn down the house and the back door will be able to go through but if there is no back door you wiil have to break a window to leave then you steal the bike and go to the contry to hide and there will be a bar for cooling. Once your bar hit zero you go to the 2nd island and you will meet up with a guy that tells you aka the hippy

P.S this only work on the 1st edition

When your bored and want to have a laugh, get into 2player mode and get the second player to get a sword and cut of player 1's head. It will then go back to 1 player mode but you will still have no head. You can run around, drive cars etc while blood is spurting out of your neck ( the effect wears off when you exit the game)

Ok now do the cheat to get 6 stars and the army truck will come along (it has all the armymen sat in the back) then quicly jump in the back and do the lower wanted level cheat.

The truck will be driving away and the men sat nexst to you wont give a damn then when you drive past cops you can shoot them and becouse your in a truck they can't cach you.

You can do this until you get 5 stars becouse if you get 6 stars the truck will stop and they will shoot you so when you get to 5 stars do the lower wanted lvl cheat and then you start all over again.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Guide [PlayStation 2 and Xbox Versions]
Version 2.0 [Revision 1] (August 2005)

By Robert Allen Rusk

       (Note: the [gnat] replaces the "@" symbol in this guide. It is to
              thwart spambots looking for email addresses to send spam to.
              Simply replace [gnat] with "@" when responding. I chose [gnat]
              because it rhymes with "at" and is easy to remember. Same goes
              for "." - [snot].)

This guide may only be distributed and/or posted in it's original format. If
you wish to post or use excerpts from this guide, PLEASE ask for my
permission before doing so (especially if you work for a magazine or
website). A lot of time and effort was spent putting this thing together and
that should be taken into consideration. And remember.....

"Respect is everything."

Besides, contacting me will also give me an opportunity to hook up and talk
shop with fellow San Andreas "thuggers".....

0---------------------------------------------------------------------------0

It has been about six months since releasing Version 1. This is the first
revision since that time. This version corrects a lot of the spelling and
grammar errors that was in the previous version. I did not proofread Version
1 properly because I was getting burned out on San Andreas and I wanted the
damn guide out the door.

This version also includes new Xbox related information. I got the Xbox
version with a $50 Best Buy gift card I won from GamerHelp.com because my San
Andreas guide (despite all of the errors) won best guide for April.

Then there is also the matter of "Hot Coffee". Man, what a mess. Now Rockstar
has to pull all of the Original versions and replace them with "Caffeine
Free" versions. My main beef is that, if what happened with Vice City is
anything to go on, the game saves from the "Hot Coffee" version will not work
with the new "Caffeine Free" version. Just another headache for me.....

My name is Robert Allen Rusk and I am a 38-year old hardcore gamer with about
30 years of gaming experience. I am an ex-gametester (Broderbund Software,
LucasArts Games, Point Of View Computing) and an ex-arcade attendant (Namco
Cyberstation - Pier 39, San Francisco, CA).

I also own multiple systems such as the Sega Dreamcast, Super Nintendo,
Nintendo 64, Atari Jaguar, PlayStation 1, Xbox, and, of course, the PS2.

I currently work at JCPenneys at one of the malls here in San Antonio, TX.
Retail isn't the best job in the world but JCPenneys is a very stable company
unlike some of the other places I have worked for in the past like internet
service providers or web programming companies.

I am also a member of the X-Otic Computer Systems of San Antonio
(www.xcssa.org), a group who specializes in Linux, Mac, and other systems. It
is here that you can see some of my RGB hack work in the photos section.

0===========================================================================0
\=========================================================================/

This guide was written using BBEdit Lite 6.1 and a Power Mac Workgroup Server
8550/200 (with a G3 card running at 330 MHz). I view my work in Netscape
4.7.9, Netscape 7, and Internet Explorer 5.1.5 to help in seeing how it would
look on the web and correcting format errors.

I also played San Andreas (Xbox) on my NEC MultiSync 3D RGB monitor using a
homebrew RGB box that contains a EL1883 sync separation chip which is
MacroVision compatible. This allows me to watch my movies, like "The Matrix",
in RGB Analog without the MacroVision copy protection signal getting in the
way. MacroVision screws up the sync signal and the EL1883 is the only sync
chip that can ignore it.

Recently I removed my Sony CXA-1145 RGB amplification chip from my RGB box
because it would oversaturate the red and blues when I put on the Thermal
Goggles in "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas". You know, as many revisions as
that box has gone through I'm surprised it still works.

When I do my writing and guide revisions I run my Mac (on one monitor)
alongside the Xbox (on my MultiSync 3D monitor). This way I can
simultaneously play and make changes to the guide at the same time.

When I want to watch my movies in RGB Analog, I use my PlayStation 2 with an
my MultiSync 3D monitor. I recently hacked my (Version 3) PlayStation 2 to
access the RGB video and sync channels directly from the motherboard (you can
find the topic threads of my hack work in the GamesX.com RGB forum) so I
would no longer need a sync chip and a GameShark to watch DVDs in RGB video.
Watching my movies (and TV shows) in pristine RGB Analog is great. "The Lord
of the Rings: The Two Towers" (Extended Version) looks fantastic in
RGB. So does my Godzilla movies, "Red vs. Blue", "The Matrix", "Red Dwarf",
etc.....

I intend to acquire one of the new Slim PS2s and do the same hack so I can
take full advantage of DVD Progressive Scan playback. The version 3 PS2 can
then be used for hard drive experimentation (as soon as I have all of the
necessary pieces).

The sound is hooked up to an old stereo box I got from Radio Shack when I
acquired my first Amiga 500 about 13 years ago and it has served me well
despite it's age.

At the time of this revision I have 17 memory cards for my PlayStation 2. I
have recently reorganized the game saves on my memory cards and I now have
eleven black memory cards specifically dedicated to GTA3 and Vice City
(Original Version (1.40)) and San Andreas. In addition to the black memory
cards I also have six colored memory cards that I use for other games but
there are San Andreas game saves on five of them making it a total of 16
memory cards for San Andreas.

I also have four memory cards for the Xbox which I used to archive my game
saves for San Andreas.

I have also done 100% Completion once on both the PS2 and Xbox versions. I
imagine I would have to do the same to the new Caffeine-Free versions later
to catalog any changes between those and the Original versions.

Welcome to my Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas guide! If this is the first time
you have visited, you will find a lot of useful information in a highly
organized format that you can use to beat all of the missions here in San
Andreas.

Quotes taken from readers' e-mail are presented "as is" and may include
spelling and grammatical errors.

When I first posted my initial version of my Vice City guide in 2003, I did
not know how well it would go over and how many people would respond. I
wasn't exactly swamped with e-mail but I do get letters from time to time.
Sometimes people would ask for advice and others would say how cool the guide
is. All it takes is for one person to say how good and useful your guide is
to make it all worthwhile.

I want to thank GameFAQs for creating a place where such documents can be
hosted for the benefit of all gamers. I also want to thank IGN.com,
NeoSeeker.com, TheVGNation.com, GameHelper.com, and many other sites for
their generosity in hosting my other work on their sites.

I want to thank Brady Games for their excellent guide (despite the errors in
the PS2 version of their book). Their guide has served as an encyclopedia
that I have used to speed my playing through and to read during lunch as I
tried to figure out how my own guide was going to look as I was building the
Beta versions.

I also want to thank everybody who has taken the time to download and
read this guide. I love this game and I wanted to share my creative ideas
with fellow San Andreas "thuggers".

And, of course, I want to give a special thanks to all those who have taken
the time to write to me and tell me what you thought, make suggestions, and
ask questions.

With that said, let's get down to business shall we?.....

The main emphasis of this guide is to provide creative and simple solutions
to many of the missions of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

In the previous version I was using my own numbering system for the Tags /
Oyster / Photo-Op / Horseshoe listings instead of the one used in the Brady
Guide. This was because of the all the errors found within the guide when it
was released for the PlayStation 2.

However, when the Xbox and PC versions of the game came out, Brady Games
revised their guide and re-released it to coincide with the new versions.
After looking through their revised maps (especially their weapon placement
maps) I decided to go back to using their numbering system.

I have worked hard to make sure that this guide is as complete as possible
but at the same time leave room for exploration. I hope that you enjoy this
guide as much as learn from it.

This guide is designed to help you achieve 100% Completion within San
Andreas. Stuff that doesn't directly contribute to it won't be covered in the
guide. This is mainly to keep things managable. Stuff that won't be covered
are Girlfriends (although Gifts are listed in the Weapons and Other Items
sections), basketball playing, and (surprisingly enough) Unique Stunt Jumps.

Because of the large size of San Andreas each major section of the guide
(Section B, Section C, and Section D) will have their own Weapon and
Safehouse lists.

Another emphasis of this guide is ORDER. If you do the missions and tasks in
a certain order, the game will be easier and more fun for you. You don't
absolutely have to do them in the EXACT order I have them listed but as
you read the guide you will see how it benefitted me.

The Graffiti Tags and Oysters are also used as landmarks to help in directing
you around the city for some of your objectives. Also, each Graffiti Tag,
Oyster, Photo-Op, and Horseshoe has a letter designation to make them easier
to identify in this guide.....

  Graffiti Tags (Los Santos) will be identified with an "T".
    Examples: Graffiti Tag T21.
              Tag T32.
              T65.

  Oysters (San Andreas) will be identified with an "Y".
    Examples: Oyster Y34.
              Y16.

  Photo-Ops (San Fierro) will be identified with a "P".
    Examples: Photo-Op P27.
              P48.

  Horseshoes (Las Venturas) will be identified with a "H".
    Examples: Horseshoe H18.
              H37.

What can I say? Rockstar has done it again. They have completely blown my
expectations out of the water with San Andreas. San Andreas is much, much
larger than GTA3 and Vice City combined with many more things to do whether
you want to get 100% Completion or not.

There are even more vehicles to play with including earthmovers, tractors,
biplanes, jets, street sweepers, and even trains.

The one major criticism I have for this game is that they seem to have given
us too much of a good thing. Of course, there are a lot of companies that
would love to have that kind of criticism.

include a section on controls for those who have gotten used copies of San

[1] - There is no First Person Look Around this time. This Camera Control
      follows the current Third Person control found in most Third Person
      games these days.

[2] - If you hold down the Run button too long, you will tire and have to
      rest before you can run again. Tapping the button in rhythm will serve
      to help you run a little longer. The more times you run, the better
      your stamina will be.

[3] - When near a wall you press the button to grab the wall and press the
      button again to climb the wall. When fighting hand-to-hand you press
      the button to block their physical attacks.

[4] - When holding a melee weapon (like a bat) or using your fist, the Attack
      Button is used to swing at your target.

      When using Grenades or Tear Gas, the same button is used to throw your
      weapon at the target. The longer you hold, the farther you throw.

      When holding a gun (like a Silenced Pistol) or a heavy weapon (like a
      Rocket Launcher), you use the Attack Button to shoot. Use the Target
      Button in conjunction to aim at your enemy.

      When used with a Camera, the Attack Button is used to take pictures.

[5] - When outside of a vehicle you can see how your Stats are shaping up.
      When targeting with a weapon this also becomes a handy fire button
      depending on your particular comfort level. This button is also used to
      buy property when you approach a Property Icon.

[6] - You can improve your ability to target and move at the same time by
      upgrading Weapon Skills.

[7] - This is used in conjunction with the Target Button to recruit gang
      members.

[8] - This is used to keep your gang from following you. It can also be used
      to disband your group.

[9] - When talking to people you use this to give a positve response to their
      queries.

[10] - When talking to people you use this to give a negative response to
       their queries.

      Camera Mode.

[2] - You use this in conjunction with the Look Left and Look Right Buttons
      to attack from either side of the car.

      On a motorcycle you can press this button by itself to fire forward.

      When not doing a Drive-By this will also activate the Nitros on any
      Nitros installed vehicle.

[3] - When using the User Track Station (custom soundtrack feature) you use
      the following commands to control your music:

      Hold Directional Pad Left to go to previous track.
      Hold Directional Pad Right to go to next track.
      Hold Directional Pad Up to change to previous user soundtrack.
      Hold Directional Pad Down to change to next user soundtrack.

[4] - According to Allan Curtis, when you fail a mission and start it again
      you may get the Trip Skip icon. When you press it you will
      automatically go to the mission location instead of having to drive to
      it again. However, this only occurs on certain missions like "Badlands"
      (C.R.A.S.H.) where you have to drive a considerable distance to get to
      your destination.

It should be noted that due to the difficulty of flying and doing drive-bys
with the standard Xbox controller it is HIGHLY recommended that you use
either a third party controller that has extra White and Black shoulder
buttons or a PS2-to-Xbox controller adapter (which will map the White and
Black buttons to L1 and R1 respectively). I used a PS2-to-Xbox controller
adapter while playing through the Xbox version.

Now that the Xbox version is released, what are some of the differences
between that and the PS2 version? Which one is better (from a technical
standpoint)? Here's the breakdown:

0==========0
Graphics
0==========0

  The graphics on the Xbox version aren't that radically better than the PS2
  version but animates more smoothly than on the Xbox version of Vice City.
  This is probably due to the new engine for San Andreas. In addition the
  Xbox version has greater draw distance and is much brighter than the PS2
  version. Oh, and let's not forget Progressive Scan for the Xbox version.

  Advantage: Xbox

0=======0
Sound
0=======0

  The sound quality is about the same between the PS2 and Xbox versions of
  San Andreas. The Xbox version gets a slight edge due to it's custom
  soundtrack feature.

  Advantage: Xbox

0==========0
Controls
0==========0

  This is where the Xbox version is clearly inferior to the PS2 version. The
  use of the White and Black buttons for flying and drive-bys makes some
  missions more difficult than on it's PS2 counterpart. Rockstar had to make
  do with what was given to them but the ambitiousness of San Andreas had to
  have made it difficult for them to come up with a proper control scheme.
  When one has to recommend a third party controller or a controller adapter
  to properly play San Andreas, you know things aren't quite right.

  Advantage: PlayStation 2

  The PS2 version runs fairly well though it tends to chug in a few spots on
  the map (an intersection in Ocean Docks is one example). Sudden pop-ins are
  a bit of a problem especially when flying fast aircraft (like smacking into
  a tree you can't see because it has not loaded yet). Texture loading is
  pretty smooth but not as fast when using aircraft (within cities).

Xbox
****
  The Xbox version also runs fairly smooth though it tends to chug when you
  fly through clouds. There aren't as much sudden pop-ins but texture
  loading is much slower (you can outrun the texture loading (in a city) when
  using a fast motorcycle). It is unclear whether the Thompson drives (which
  did not like my GTA3 and Vice City games thus forcing me to trade in my
  initial Xbox) would properly load up San Andreas.

At this time there is just one difference between the Xbox and PS2 version:

>>Shady Industries in San Fierro is now called Solaris Industries.

0===========================================================================0
\=========================================================================/

One of the major things that has been added to the GTA series is something
called Stats. Stats adds an RPG element to your character and there are many
things that you can change to make your character better (or worse).

Most of the upgrades to your Stats are permanent although some can change one
way or the other depending on certain physical activities.

0===========================================================================0
\=========================================================================/

Another thing you will need to do during the course of the game is to eat. If
you go too long without eating you will get hungry and start to lose energy.
However, you lose energy very slowly so even if you are out in the middle of
nowhere you can easily go and get food without starving to death. And you
don't even have to eat a lot either. A simple snack will do to keep from
going hungry.

Eating is the only way to get your Health back up to it's current maximum.
There are very few Health Icons this time unlike in GTA3 and Vice City.

If you wish to make CJ muscular you will need to eat large amounts of large
meals to get Fat so you can go to the Gym to convert it into Muscle. Eat too
many meals in one day however (about 11), and he will throw up.

You can also eat meals that can keep you from going hungry but without adding
to your Fat. A Salad Meal at any of the fast food places will do the trick.

There are three types of fast food restaurants in San Andreas. The
restaurants listed below are opened during and after "Ryder" (Carl
Johnson). Each place has a Map Icon for easy location:

0=====================================================0
The Well Stacked Pizza Co. (Map Icon - Pizza Slice)
0=====================================================0

  --Idlewood (Los Santos). Southwest of Ganton and where you do the mission
    "Ryder" (Carl Johnson).
  --Montgomery (Red County). East side of the town. NOTE: No icon on map.
  --Palomino Creek (Red County). South side of town not far from the
    Ammu-Nation.
  --Esplande North (San Fierro). At the entrance to Pier 69.
  --Downtown (San Fierro). Northeast of the Big Pointy Building.
  --In the north part of Roca Escalante (Las Venturas).

  --Marina (Los Santos). West of the Verona Beach Safehouse.
  --Juniper Hollow (San Fierro). Near the Pay N' Spray.
  --Financial (San Fierro). Just west of the Zip store.
  --Garcia (San Fierro). West of the San Fierro Gym.
  --In the north part of Spinybed (Las Venturas).
  --At the southeast part of Old Venturas Strip (Las Venturas).
  --Next to the Cluckin' Bell at the south part of Old Venturas Strip (Las
    Venturas).
  --At Redsands East (Las Venturas).
  --At Whitewood Estates (Las Venturas).

There are four meals you can choose from in each place:

  >>Small Meal (adds a little bit of Fat)
  >>Medium Meal (adds a little more Fat than the Small Meal)
  >>Large meal (has the most Fat)
  >>Salad meal (has no Fat)

There are also Snack and Sprunk Machines spread throughout San Andreas that
you can use to keep from going hungry. They are open from the beginning of
the game and their locations will be listed in each major section of the
guide.

You can get fat from using these machines but it will take awhile to build up
a sizable Fat Stat this way.

0===========================================================================0
A.11. Fat, Muscle Stats, and Gym List
0===========================================================================0
\=========================================================================/

Two of the Stats that will change most often is the Fat and Muscle Stats. If
you eat a lot of meals and don't do any physical activities you will get
pudgy. This will negatively impact your ability to run and jump plus people
will make unflattering comments about you.

In addition, the stuff CJ says will change. For example, he will say things
like "Lunch money", "This should help keep my belly full", and "I'm gonna
spend this on a good meal" when he picks up money. If you get a 100% Fat Stat
CJ will be obese.

You can change this by doing physical activities like bicycling or working
out at the local Gym. When working out at the Gym you can change the Fat into
Muscle. If you work out at the Gym long enough you can make CJ really buffed
and ripped. But this too will negatively impact your ability to run and jump
but people will look more positively upon you (especially the ladies).

You can burn off the Fat without building Muscle. You can do things like
swimming and bicycling to do this. Once you burn off the Fat, however, you
will then start burning off the Muscle until CJ is skinny again. If you want
to keep CJ with some degree of muscular build you will have to balance eating
and working out.

There are four Gyms you can use to work out CJ:

  --Santa Maria Beach (Los Santos). This is open from the beginning of the
    game and, with the use of the Snack and Sprunk Machines, you can gain a
    lot of muscle before doing any of the Main Story Missions. Note: There is
    no Gym Icon for this one on the Map.

  --Ganton (Los Santos). This is opened after doing "Drive Thru" (Sweet
    Johnson).

  --Garcia (San Fierro). This is opened after doing "Drive Thru" (Sweet
    Johnson) but you won't be able to access it until after doing "The Green
    Sabre" (Sweet Johnson).

  --Redsands East (Las Venturas). This is opened after doing "Drive Thru"
    (Sweet Johnson) but you won't be able to access it until after doing "Ya
    Ka Boom Boom" (Loco Syndicate).

When you enter the Gym there are several activities you can do:

>>Stationary Bike
  ***************
     You use this to increase your Stamina. There are ten levels you can
     select to help you get the most from using the bike.

>>Treadmill
  *********
     You use this to increase your Stamina. There are ten levels you can
     select. The higher you go, the faster CJ has to run to keep up otherwise
     he will fall off the Treadmill.

>>Bench Press
  ***********
     You use this to gain Muscle. Select the weight you want to try and tap X
     and Circle (PS2) or A and B (Xbox) alternatively and quickly to make CJ
     do reps.

>>Dumbbells

     You use this to gain Muscle. Select the weight you want to try and tap X
     and Circle (PS2) or A and B (Xbox) alternatively and quickly to make CJ
     do reps.

You can also learn new fighting moves here from the Boxing Trainer (There is
no Boxing Trainer for the Santa Maria Beach Gym). It is also a requirement
for 100% Completion.

I will go into more detail about doing that in section B.II.3. Using Gyms

You will also need to learn Martial Arts moves at the San Fierro Gym and
Kickboxing moves at the Las Venturas Gym to get 100% Completion.

\=========================================================================/

Three other physical Stats that can be changed (but will be permanent) is the
Stamina, Lung Capacity, and Health Stats.

Increasing your Stamina will allow you to sprint longer on foot, in the
water, and on bike. There is no Infinite Run feature this time so it would be
wise to increase your Stamina as soon as possible. Fortunately, increasing
your Stamina doesn't take a whole lot of time so you can do things, like
looking for Oysters, to increase your Stamina prior to doing the Main Story
Missions without it taking forever.

Increasing your Lung Capacity will allow you to stay underwater for long
periods of time. This is very helpful for acquiring Oysters and exploration.
Swimming underwater a lot will gradually increase your Lung Capacity Stat.

Over the course of doing physical activities you may also see your Health
Stat increase. This increases your maximum health and you will see the Health
Bar lengthen slightly. This takes a bit longer to maximize than the Stamina
Stat but you can do this quickly by completing the Ambulance Mission since
you can max out your Health Stat by successfully finishing it.

"Respect is everything" went the tagline for GTA2. And it is back again for
San Andreas. Having respect will allow you to easily recruit gang members for
various activities, getting Girlfriends, and will impact how people look at
you.

Things that change your Respect are as follows:

  --Getting better clothes.
  --Killing cops and rival gang members.
  --Progressing through the Main Story Missions.
  --Doing certain Side-Missions.

A.14. Clothes and Clothes Stores
0===========================================================================0
\=========================================================================/

In San Andreas you can change clothes to change how you look in the game just
like in Vice City. Unlike Vice City, however, you can change your appearance
in more ways than you can imagine. You can change shirts, pants, wear
necklaces, change shoes, wear hats, etc.

For those who want to go topless (if you have muscles you want to show off),
go into your closet and use Remove Item to take off shirts and jackets. You
can also use this method to make CJ go (almost) completely naked if desired.

Getting better clothes is one way to increase your Respect (as explained
above) and increases your chances of getting a Girlfriend (if you wish to
pursue one). And, like in Vice City, you can also change clothes to get rid
of Wanted Ratings.

In San Andreas, there are many places where you can get new clothes once you
have opened up the stores. Each store is represented by a shirt icon on your
map:

0=======0
Binco
0=======0

Opened: After "Nines and AK's" (Sweet Johnson).
Motto: "More trash for less cash."
Notes: A budget clothes shop that looks like a thrift store more than
       anything else. But you can get some decent clothes here, just not very
       stylish clothes. This is where you can get green clothes for
       representing Grove Street.
Locations: --Ganton (Los Santos). West of CJ's house and north of the Los
             Santos Gym.
           --Juniper Hill (San Fierro). Just south of the Juniper Hollow
             Burger Shot.
           --The Emerald Isle (Las Venturas). At the mini-mall south of the
             main hotel.
           --Las Venturas Airport (Las Venturas). Just north of the main
             terminal.

0=========0
ProLaps
0=========0

Opened: After "Nines and AK's" (Sweet Johnson).
Motto: "Train Hard."
Notes: A sports clothes shop where you can get anything from expensive
       sneakers to team jerseys. A lot of gangbangers like to wear sports
       related stuff. You can gain additional respect with certain items
       here.
Locations: --Rodeo (Los Santos). Located just north of Victim and west of the
             Los Sepulcros Cemetary where CJ's mother is buried at.
           --Creek (Las Venturas). At the large mall.

0==========0
SubUrban
0==========0

Opened: After "Nines and AK's" (Sweet Johnson).
Motto: "...come to where it's apparently at."
Notes: A trendy hip-hop clothes shop. Most of the clothes are based on what
       the hot music acts are wearing. Additional respect can be gained by
       use of some of the items here.
Locations: --Glen Park (Los Santos). Just north of the Jefferson Safehouse.
           --Hashbury (San Fierro). Right next to the Tattoo Parlor.
           --Creek (Las Venturas). At the large mall.

0=====0
Zip
0=====0

Opened: After "Are You Going To San Fierro?" (The Truth).
Motto: "Clothing to get your teeth into."
Notes: A mid-range clothes shop. Better than Binco but not as good as the
       others.
Locations: --Downtown Los Santos. Southwest of the Mulholland Intersection.
           --Financial (San Fierro). East of the Financial Burger Shot.
           --Starfish Casino (Las Venturas). Inside the Chinese Strip Mall.
           --The Emerald Isle (Las Venturas). At the mini-mall south of the
             main hotel.

0========0
Victim
0========0

Opened: After "Learning To Fly" (Completion of Flight School).
Motto: "To die for."
Notes: A high class and expensive clothes shop. Clothes based on the rich
       fashion styles can be bought here. A lot of respect can be bought here
       too.
Locations: --Rodeo (Los Santos). Located in the west part of Rodeo just
             southwest of ProLaps.
           --Downtown (San Fierro) . East of the Downtown Well Stacked Pizza.
           --Creek (Las Venturas). At the large mall.

0==============0
Didier Sachs
0==============0

Opened: After "Saint Mark's Bistro" (Caligula's Palace).
Motto: "For those with discriminating taste."
Notes: A high class and expensive clothes shop. The best of everything can be
       bought here. You can gain the most respect by shopping here. Of
       course, you'll also spend the most money but prestige doesn't come
       cheap.
Locations: --Rodeo (Los Santos). Located in the west part of Rodeo next door
             to the Victim Clothes Store.

BarberShops
0=============0

You can also change hairstyles too. You open up the BarberShops when you do
"Ryder" (Carl Johnson). There a quite a few hairstyles you can choose from
but you can probably get the best results (in terms of increasing your
Respect) from getting the most expensive style. They are represented by a
scissors icon on your map.

Listed below are the BarberShops within San Andreas:

  --Idlewood (Los Santos). Just across the street from The Well Stacked
    Pizza. This is where you do the mission "Ryder" (Carl Johnson).
  --Playa Del Seville (Los Santos). South of the apartment complexes and near
    the large curve of the main freeway.
  --Marina (Los Santos). North of the Marina Burger Shot.
  --Dillimore (Red County). In the north part of the little town.
  --Queens (San Fierro). North of the Queens Ammu-Nation.
  --El Quebrados (Desert). Not far from the El Quebrados Pay N' Spray.
  --Redsands East (Las Venturas). Southeast of the Redsands East Pay N'
    Spray.

0================0
Tattoo Parlors
0================0

Another way to change appearance is to get tattooed (no, not that kind of
tattooed although I don't think you can get drunk or stoned in this game).
No, I mean as in ink. Usually the more expensive and elaborate tattoos will
be the ones that will increase your Respect the most. These shops open after
doing "Ryder" (Carl Johnson). They are represented by a "T" (Olde English
Font) on your map.

Listed below are the Tattoo Parlors within San Andreas:

  --Idlewood (Los Santos). Next door to the Idlewood BarberShop and across
    the street from The Well Stacked Pizza.
  --El Corona (Los Santos). East of the pink and green Nude Shop.
  --Hashbury (San Fierro). Right next to the SubUrban Clothes Store.
  --Redsands East (Las Venturas). Southeast of the Redsands East Pay N' Spray
    and east of the Gay Gordos BarberShop.

Sex Appeal
0============0

Changing your appearance will not only increase (or decrease) your Respect
but will also change your Sex Appeal. The higher your Sex Appeal, the greater
your chances of getting a Girlfriend (if you want one) or having "coffee"
when you do have one.

You can also change your Sex Appeal by getting into a better car as well. A
good, solid, pimped-out car will really jack up your Sex Appeal (along with
good appearance).

A.16. Weapon Skill and Easy Upgrading
0===========================================================================0
\=========================================================================/

Another thing that needs to be mentioned is Weapon Skill. Some of the weapons
you can use during the game have skills that can be upgraded.

When you first pick up a upgradable weapon it doesn't feel all that special.
But when you reach Gangster Weapon Skill Level with it, you will see an
improvement like being able to move while aiming and shooting plus longer
range. When you reach Hitman Weapon Skill Level you will have reached the
weapon's maximum skill. When Hitman Weapon Skill Level is reached on certain
weapons you can then duel-wield them, one to a hand, allowing you to inflict
a lot more damage.

You can find out how far you have upgraded a weapon by pressing the L1 button
(PS2) or Left Trigger (Xbox) to see your stats. You can also go into the
Stats menu to see the specific point level of your current weapon. The
upgradable weapons have three rankings: Poor, Gangster, and Hitman. Each
weapon has a maximum skill point level of 1,000. When you reach 1,000 skill
points on a weapon you will achieve Hitman Level. You can generally reach
Gangster Level at about 200 skill points.

The fastest and easiest way to upgrade your Weapon Skill Levels is to do the
following:

0===============0
PlayStation 2
0===============0

First, get a lot of ammo for the weapon you wish to upgrade. Next, grab a car
and head for either the large flood control channel or deep into the
wilderness. Get out of your car and switch to the weapon you wish to upgrade.
Next, aim at one of the car's tires and plug away. The tire counts as a
target and you can't destroy the car by just shooting at the tire itself.
This works wonders plus you don't get hassled by either rival gang members or
the cops. I recommend upgrading the SubMachine Gun class first since that is
probably the type of gun you'll end up using the most. It won't take long
either.

0======0
Xbox
0======0

The above method for the PlayStation 2 won't work for the Xbox version so we
need another method. Get a car and place it into a garage. Shoot the car
until it starts flaming and then run away from the garage. The garage door
will then close. Wait a few seconds and when you run back to get the garage
door to reopen, you car will be as good as new. Repeat the process until you
have achieved Hitman Weapon Skill Level on your chosen weapon.

A.17. Law Enforcement
0===========================================================================0
\=========================================================================/

The main enemies in "Grand Theft Auto 3" and "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City"
are the Police. They were fairly aggressive but stupid and predictable. They
were also fun to mess around with like playing demolition derby with them at
the 4-Star Wanted Rating.

In San Andreas, however, that's all changed. Here the cops are FAR more
aggressive and intelligent. Even at the lowest wanted level they will take
cover, block your physical attacks, and even shoot at you. In other words,
playtime's over. Now things get serious when dealing with the law.

They even have more vehicles (details a little later) including Motorcycle
Cops who will shoot at your car to try to slow you down if they are chasing
you.

When you do something bad near a cop, like mugging a person, one of the stars
at the bottom of the HUD will light up indicating a Wanted Level. The cops
will then try to bust you. The more stars you have, the more aggressive they
will be. There are several ways to get rid of a wanted rating.....

X=========================================================================X
Hiding out somewhere for a bit (depending on what you've done, this
will work for up to 4-Stars).
=========================================================================
Getting a Police Bribe Icon (drops the level down a notch).
=========================================================================
Completing the current mission (if you get a rating during one).
=========================================================================
Getting busted or wasted.
=========================================================================
Driving a car (excluding rescue and most police vehicles) into a Pay N'
Spray.
=========================================================================
Changing clothes at any Safe House. This will work all the way up to
6-Star. It should be noted that you have to change items for this to
work. It won't work if you use Remove Item. Thanks to CDNW for that
handy bit of information.
=========================================================================
Saving your game at any Safe House. This will work all the way up to
6-Star. Thanks again goes to CDNW.
X=========================================================================X

There are six wanted levels. The higher you go, the more aggressive the
pursuit. Below are the six Wanted Ratings and what you can expect.....

0========0
1-Star
0========0

  You are of mild interest to the cops. They will chase you on foot and will
  whack you with their nightsticks when close enough. They will chase you for
  some distance on foot unless you get a car and make a fast getaway. If you
  attack a cop with your Fist or Melee Weapon a nearby cop may shoot at you.
  When fleeing in a car, Motorcycle Cops may shoot at you to try to get you
  to stop. Hiding out somewhere for awhile will get rid of a 1-Star rating
  but may take awhile depending on what you've done.

0========0
2-Star
0========0

  Things get a bit more serious here. The number of cops increase a bit and
  they will start shooting you instead of whacking you with their clubs.
  Motorcycle Cops will shoot at your car to try to stop you. You may be able
  to wait things out in a safe area but this may take a long time depending
  on your crimes.

0========0
3-Star
0========0

  More cops will join the fray and a helicopter will start pursuing you and
  will shoot at you if you stand still long enough for it to do so. The cops
  become more fearless and will stand in the open shooting at you in an
  attempt to stop you. Don't be surprised to find several cops standing there
  using you as target practice if you poke your head out of a safe area. Your
  best bet to get rid of a 3-Star Wanted Rating is to use a Pay N' Spray.

0========0
4-Star
0========0

  Now a second helicopter and the SWAT team joins in. They will try to
  blockade the road with their Enforcers and rappel down from the helicopter.
  They are heavily armed with powerful submachine guns will make quick work
  of your vehicle when encountering a SWAT roadblock. I've had a many as
  eight cops standing in the open taking shots at me (and making the most of
  them) at 4-Star.

  If you're in a aircraft, you will be shot at by missiles and be chased by
  fighter jets.

  This is the highest wanted level you can obtain while confined to Los
  Santos.

0========0
5-Star
0========0

  Now the FBI joins the pursuit with their FBI Ranchers. You can achieve this
  rating after the mission "Farewell, My Love..." (Cesar Vialpando). There is
  a Stat for how long you can maintain a chase with a 5-Star Wanted Rating.

0========0
6-Star
0========0

  The Army finally gets in on the fun here. They will come with Flatbeds and
  Rhinos and will kill you on sight. Considering how aggressive the cops are
  in San Andreas your chances for survival with a 6-Star Wanted Rating for
  more than a few seconds are very slim and probably none.

  Of course, that also depends on where you hole yourself up at and what
  weapons you have at your disposal. A couple of people have written me
  telling me how much fun they had with a 6-Star Wanted Rating.

Pay N' Spray
0==============0

When you can't find any Police Bribes to get rid of law enforcement you can
drive into one of these places to deal with it. You can also use these places
to change to color of you vehicle to any color you want. They are represented
by a green spray can on your map.

These Pay N' Sprays are opened at the beginning of the game and can be found
in the following locations within San Andreas:

  --Temple (Los Santos). Southwest of the Mulholland Burger Shot.
  --Idlewood (Los Santos). South of the Idlewood BarberShop and southwest of
    the Well Stacked Pizza Co.
  --Dillimore (Red County). North part of town.
  --Juniper Hollow (San Fierro). West of the Juniper Hollow Burger Shot.
  --Downtown (San Fierro). West of the highway leading to the Garver Bridge
    and northeast of the Xoomer Garage.
  --El Quebrados (Desert). East part of town.
  --Fort Carson (Desert). Central part of town.
  --Redsands East (Las Venturas). One block south of the Las Venturas Gym.
  --Royal Casino (Las Venturas) (Available in PS2 version only. In the Xbox
    version the door remains closed). East of the main casino. NOTE: This one
    is not shown on the map and therefore hidden (info courtesy of
    glenJammin). Can also be used to access Grey Hell. The opening is where
    the door meets the ground.

0==========0
BombShop
0==========0

Like the previous two games in the GTA series, you can rig a car with a bomb
so you can cause some chaos or leave a nasty surprise for someone you
dislike. However, there is no icon on the map for these places so you will
have to look around a bit.

Once a car is modified with a bomb, you prime it by using Circle (PS2) or A/B
(Xbox). Then sit back and watch the fun.

These BombShops are found at the following locations within San Andreas:

  --[8 Ball Autos] El Corona (Los Santos). Next door to the El Corona 24-7.
  --[Weldings and Weddings] Redsands East (Las Venturas). Next door to the
    Las Venturas Gym.

A.19. Exploration and Unwelcome Areas
0===========================================================================0
\=========================================================================/

In both GTA3 and GTA:VC there were roadblocks that kept you confined to a
certain area of the city until you passed a particular mission in which case
one of them would be removed.

Of course, they could be easily circumvented by a variety of means so you
could explore the rest of the city and obtain items which could be used in
the early stages of the game to make things easier on yourself.

With the swimming element introduced in San Andreas you can very easily get
around the roadblocks that are supposed to keep you confined to Los Santos.

However, Rockstar inplemented something that will make you think twice about
leaving Los Santos early.

When you cross the water and enter an Unwelcome Area (like Las Venturas) you
will be hit with a 4-Star Wanted Rating. As I've noted, this is a difficult
Wanted Rating to deal with. Worse still, Pay N' Sprays, Police Bribes, and
even the Lower Wanted Level cheats WILL NOT work while in an Unwelcome Area.

That's right. You're stuck with it until you go back to where you came from
so you can get rid of it. However, more than likely you will end up going
back in a body bag because of the very aggressive Police. This also makes
early exploration of an area very difficult.

However, because of the huge size of San Andreas, being confined to Los
Santos really isn't a Bad Thing. The Los Santos / Red County area is much
larger than Vice City with plenty of area to explore. San Andreas is also
easier to deal with when you just focus on one area at a time instead of
trying to absorb it all at once.

But you can swim around these Unwelcome Areas without getting a 4-Star Wanted
Rating as long as you don't
